Case Study: Barrier Point

Situated by the Thames Barrier, Barrier Point is a development by Barratts East London that incorporates 7, 6-floor residential blocks with a 17-storey highrise tower on the side of the river and adjacent to City airport. This was one of the early brownfield developments that won Barratts a host of awards for innovative design and for reclaiming land that had been used for industrial purposes for a considerable number of years. The development is now an established landmark in an area that will see considerable further building, particularly with the Olympics to come in 2012.

Amalgamated Lifts was awarded the contract to supply and install all lifts on-site and we worked with the Barratt team to achieve the standards and levels of installation quality they demanded. We now maintain the lift installations for Peverel OM and continue to meet the building and management requirements of this large residential development.
