Merry Christmas from Amalgamated Lifts
I would like to take this opportunity to wish all our customers and colleagues a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.  We have had an extremely positive year and seen growth in particular in the maintenance side of the business, where we continue to gain market share and increasingly large contracts.  We now maintain well over 1500 lifts in London and the South-East.  I would like to thank everyone for their hard work and dedication during 2009. We really do have the most phenomenal team of people.

With best wishes, Simon Smith

Buildings account for approximately 40% of the carbon emissions in the UK with non-domestic buildings responsible for approximately half of this. In the drive for carbon efficient buildings, companies can now access funding through the Carbon Trust's 'Big Business Refit', which provides small and medium businesses with £100m in interest-free funding to replace old equipment and install new energy efficient upgrades. The maximum loan limit is £500k and loans are now also being made available to larger companies that don't fall under the Carbon Reduction commitment. This could be significant in helping you decide whether the time is right to modernise existing lifts where developments in lift technology means that you could realise energy savings of over 50%. Make your lifts part of your reduced carbon footprint.  For more information visit the Carbon Trust website.
