wins refurbishment contract for Aberconway
House Mayfair's largest private
dwelling |
Amalgamated
Lifts has been awarded the contract for the refurbishment of
two lifts in Aberconway House in Mayfair. Aberconway House is privately owned and
is undergoing redecoration and improvement following its sale
last year. The main passenger lift car is 4m high and is
able to carry eight passengers. Because of its height,
the special design requires the use of under driven doors. The
interiors are to the highest
specification decorated in minimalist style with black flock
lacquer, concealed buttons and lit with a single downlight.
Additionally the lifts now travel to basement level providing
access to and from the newly installed swimming
pool. |

Lifts launches new sister company - Amalgamated Platform
Lifts |
|
Amalgamated Platform Lifts Ltd launched on
4th April 2011. The company has been created to
specifically target the high end platform lift market in
London and the South East and will be headed by Gary Moore who
has extensive experience in this niche market. Gary was keen
to work with the Amalgamated team after he became involved in
some of our projects. We are very excited about this
opportunity to develop a new brand name in the Platform Lift
market. Visit our website www.al-platformlifts.co.uk |

restructures and expands Maintenance Operations
team |
|
Whilst
we secured record levels of new contracts last year, we
appreciate that it is more important than ever to retain our
ethos of communication and good service for all of our
clients, both long-standing and new. For this reason we
are pleased to announce that we have made the following
changes in our management structure to ensure that we meet
these expectations in 2011 and beyond. We
have promoted Dave Huxley, one of our Field Technicians, to
the position of Field Operations Manager. Dave will be
working alongside our existing management team to provide
field and supervisory support to a team of engineers and will
also be available to meet and discuss issues with clients
directly. Also, Jay Barnes has been promoted to Field
Technical Manager to ensure that any troubleshooting is dealt
with quickly and efficiently. Finally, we welcome to the
team Neil Khafaji, who is our new Technician filling the role
vacated by Dave. |

Did you
know? |
|
That
whilst we often make new contract announcements in the
newsletter a great number of our clients have been with us for
many years? These include Malpro, the property
arm of the Maltese High Commission, where we have been
maintaining two passenger lifts and a goods lift since 2003.
Property Manager Joyce O'Connor said, "We
have used Amalgamated Lifts for over 8 years at
both our Putney regional head office and our Embassy, Malta
House, Piccadilly which houses the ambassador, chancery and a
number of commercial high profile tenants such as Forbes inc.
I doubt whether you will find a more
pro-active company than Amalgamated Lifts. Amy Roper,
our account manager is great to deal with, she is
extremely responsive and always able to resolve any
problem easily and
effectively." | |
