News Item Amalgamated Lifts completes major lift refurbishment contract worth £250k in the City of London 10 January 2012 - Orpington UK - Amalgamated Lifts, leading providers of lift installation, modernisation and maintenance services throughout the South-East of England, has recently completed a contract for a major refurbishment of the four-car group of lifts at 24 Chiswell Street, in the City of London. 24 Chiswell Street photo courtesy of Riverside Capital The contract awarded by Hurley Palmer Flatt, one of the largest building services companies in the UK, was part of a phased aesthetic upgrade of the building which is tenanted by a number of companies. Initially this involved upgrading two lifts out of the group of four and installing an overlay system, to allow efficient lift service following the complete refurbishment of public areas including the reception and entrance space. 24 Chiswell Street spans six floors and is currently tenanted by 10 companies, it provides office space for over 600 people. The contract follows a series of major contracts including the refurbishment of nine lifts at Bracken House near St Paul’s completed last year and worth over £1m.
