Amalgamated Lifts Celebrate 30th Anniversary

A Smooth Transition from early beginnings

Thirty years ago, Hello! Magazine debuted, Die Hard hit the cinema screens, and “Eddie the Eagle” became a household name, but most importantly on 14th November 1988, Amalgamated Lifts Ltd was born.

Over the past thirty years, our Construction department has undertaken over 1000 successful installation projects, the Repairs department has carried out over £50,000,000 pounds worth of lift repairs whilst our  Service department has gone on to create an impressive 3500+ lift portfolio.

We are now one of the largest independently owned lift companies left in the UK and employ over 100 employees, 20% of whom have been with us for more than 15 years.  We continue to offer Lift Maintenance, Lift Installation and Lift Repair services across London and the home counties.

Simon Smith – Managing Director says;

“It is a pleasure and a privilege to work with a dedicated team of individuals who make the difference. We are continuing to grow and develop our business and have a number of exciting projects in the pipeline. We are all excited to be involved in this drive for growth and improvement and the best team in the industry are making it happen”.

Thank You

We want to thank you all for your continued support and ongoing business. We couldn’t do it without you and look forward to the next 30 years.

Our Birthday Wish

To mark our 30th Anniversary, we hope to raise donations and awareness of an amazing project called “Building the Ark”. Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice are building a state-of-the-art children’s hospice to serve North and Central London. However, they will continue to provide community-based and Hospice-at-Home services for babies, children and young people with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions and their families in Barnet, Enfield, Camden, Haringey, Islington, and Hertsmere.

We are working with Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice and supplying them with a new 2,500kg MRL Lift for this very worthy cause. If you wish to support in any way, volunteer, or donate please visit www.buildingtheark.org.uk and contact Megan Evans on 07947 956 346.
