Bespoke Machine Room-Less Lift

Amalgamated Lifts have completed a Machine Room-Less (MRL) installation to a privately owned house in Kensington, London. The seven floor lift was fully modernised with a bespoke lift interior, consisting of wooden joinery, specifically selected to keep with the buildings architecture.

Why choose MRL?

Most buildings will have a machine room where the motor is positioned above or below the lift shaft. In this instance, the client chose to have the motor installed within the lift shaft which meant they could utilise the motor room space.

Other advantages of MRL include;

• Multiple entrances
• Operation on a Single-phase supply (energy efficient)
• Installed with a limited pit depth and headroom clearance
